BALE MOUNTAINS

Introdution

Bale Mountains National Park is a national park in the Oromia region of southeast Ethiopia. Created in 1970, this park covers about 2,200 square kilometers of the Bale Mountains to the west and southwest of Goba.
Bale Mountains contains three distinct eco regions: the northern plains, bush and woods; the central Sanetti Plateau lying at over 4000 meters ; and the southern Harenna Forest, known for its mammals, amphibians and birds including many endemic species. The central Sanetti Plateau is home to the largest population of the rare and endangered Ethiopian wolves.

Day 1.

Arrive Addis Ababa.,be welcomed by your guide on arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Air Port, and transfer-in to hotel .

Day 2.

Early in the morning drive to Awassa, on the route visit the Rift Valley lakes and fauna.
O/Night Resort.

Day 3.

Drive to Dinsho and evening walk in the Park to observe endemic animals such as Nyala and other species.
O/night lodge.

Day 4.

Excursion to the peak and after picnic lunch drive to the Tulu-Dimtu peak (the second highest mountain in the country.
O/night hotel in Goaba.

Day 5.

Excursion to Sof Omar to visit the cave river.
O/night hotel in Goba.

Day 6.

Drive to Wondo Genet, here we take a thermal water bath.
O/N hotel at Wondo Genet.

Day 7.

Half day excursion in the forest of Wondo Genet- to visit the springs and animals. After Lunch drive to Addis.
O/ night hotel.

Day 8.

During the day sightseeing in Addis Ababa, dinner in a traditional restaurant with folkloric music and evening return back to the origin.
